An outing to the city Part 3

After St Mary's and the aquatic centre, we made our way to the historical Queen Victoria Building shopping centre. This is an old shopping centre with wooden staircases and lots of expensive places. I never took a photo but they have a writing shop in there with quills and everything! Ahhh.... a writer's dream. In the middle of this centre that goes up 3 floors is a massive Christmas tree decorated with Swarovski Crystal, I kid you not! Next, the monorail and Darling harbour.

Hi Rodney, looks as though you are really loving your life in Aus. I see your next "visit" will be to darling Harbour - we have friends living in Sydney and they had the most wonderful lunch at the Four Points Hotel in Darling Harbour. By the way - we have started our visa application process for Aus! We know it will take a while but in the long run it is something that we have to do for the boys. Don't have your email address anymore hence the post here - love keeping up to date on your blog posts! Have a superb New Year. x Theresa (tn@wo.co.za)

Hey Theresa,
I will look that Hotel up and check it out - thanks for the tip! Good luck with your app. For kids it will be so worth it - if they love sport, they will love it - the facilities here are unbelievable! In all the parks, you see families playing cricket and messing around with touch rugby etc. It is so different - the lifestyle here is outdoors - just because it is safe. Women jogging alone at dusk and even at night - and I live in the big bad city!

If we can help at all, or for any info, let me know: rodney.mackrill@gmail.com
Cheers and Happy New Year to you! Anton and the boys!
